The truth and reality of Christ's healings

Christ's healings are real and visible, not just "for the soul", or a simple "pat on the back"

When people hear: "Jesus Christ heals", almost all of them think that this is a metaphor, that it means only spiritual healing, "for the soul". They think, for example, someone has a physical illness, and people think that Christ's healing is just like a "pat on the back" and to say: "It's okay, don't worry about it", and then to leave you to suffer. No, this is completely wrong. Christ does heal spiritually, as He is the only source of our faith. No one else can heal spiritually. But He also heals every, absolutely every illness, whether physical or mental.

While I was still newly saved, I used to only read articles about Jesus Christ, I did not listen to sermons. Not one of those articles that I read stated that He heals. True, they all depicted Him as the "healer", as He is; they did state that He heals; but what everyone was thinking was about "healing", like "read a part of Scripture and that is your lot for the day". It was so discouraging because it made me think that the power to heal was only present in the days of the apostles, and that it will never come back. Thankful to the Lord, He brought my attention to Spirit-filled evangelists of which I had not even one clue that they exist.

In the Books and Sermons sections of this website, you can find numerous books and sermons of Spirit-filled evangelists with healing ministries, where the Lord used them to heal thousands and thousands of people. Read through their testimonies and see that God heals each and every ailment there is. That being said, Oral Roberts stated: "I do not heal; I am only an instrument of God and you can use me as your point of contact to receive healing". I say that this is good because you know that inside that person lives the Holy Spirit in absolute fullness. So when you see the evangelist, know that God is living inside and is basically on touching distance from you, whether that be by means of laying on of hands, or by a prayer cloth, or even the sound of his voice.

Healing is not only spiritual, but also real, visible, physical. Joseph Kostelnik shared a testimony that during one of his meetings, a person with a short leg (some inch and a half shorter than the other) was prayed for and the leg immediately began to grow in front of everyone in the audience. Oral Roberts in his Roanoke meeting prayed for a boy with a short leg. The next year when he came back, the boy was completely healed with both legs perfectly normal (read about this in Roberts' book: "Deliverance from Fear and from Sickness").

With mental illnesses, sometimes it is very difficult to think that you deserve to be healed, or that you deserve attention. Because it seems like it's all in your head, and that "there are other, much more difficult cases deserving healing compared to this mental problem". Every disease and illness is from the devil! For a long time of my salvation, I was ignorant of this because everyone was saying that "it is God's will for us to be mentally ill, and that we should bite our teeth and hang on." So many people do not even consider the mental illnesses as from the devil, or even worthy of any attention or healing, but rather something that just occurs on it's own and they pity you thinking that if someone says to you: "Christ will heal you", that it would do you more damage than good. What nonsense! Through John G. Lake I came to know that: Christ heals everything, every illness. We were made through Him. Yet in Him there is no illness or disease or mental problem or anything bad. He wants us to be like Him, perfectly fit and healthy. The devil is the one causing all ailments but Christ is here to heal and help. If the devil does something against us, truly know that Christ will do 100 times more for us, to destroy the problem and bring us help.

In Christ there is also no depression, sadness, addictions, insomnia, despair, obsessions, oppressions; nor is there any poverty, hunger or thirst (we are talking about illnesses in this article, but remember this as well). In Christ there is every need met, whatever it may be, and He has it in store for us.

Read this statement from H. E. Hardt in the 1955 September issue of the Voice of Healing magazine (excerpt can be found on page 18):

"In America many have become gospel hardened. We have become accustomed to taking things for granted. Many ministers have never preached a sermon on faith for healing and many others have discouraged the ministry of deliverance. Recently while driving along the highway in Florida we were listening to a very dynamic message on Bible deliverance. The program immediately following was designed to destroy the good effect of the preceding one. The quiz-master, as he was called, quickly informed his listeners that never had it been known since Bible days that one was healed through faith or prayer. At this point I remarked to my wife, "If that is all that a church group has to offer a sick world, their group should be forced off the air and they should close their churches in shame." That group is playing into the hands of the devil. Just so did the Scribes and Pharisees of long ago...

...Little wonder that many of our churches are dedicated to places of entertainment, when God has ordained that they should be houses of Bethesda...

...Never before since the days when Jesus walked this earth was there such a need for divine assistance and healing. It is available. He sent His WORD and healed them. You too, can be healed. The WORD will still accomplish its purpose. Paul cautioned Timothy to preach the WORD. We are grateful to God for the ministry of gifts that God in His sovereignty has set in the church to support the WORD. Lookup, my friend, "By His stripes you were healed." 1 Peter 2:24. Your case is not hopeless. Only believe."

If you need prayer, or a prayer cloth (from those that offer), send a message to (click on the names to visit the site): Richard Roberts Ministries; Joseph Kostelnik (GTM); worldprayerteam.com; healingrooms.com and also see if there is a Healing Room nearby (on the top of the website, you can search for a location, or go to the Locations tab);

May God's riches and best be yours; may the Lord bless you abundantly.
